Oxford is another beautiful city located in Oxfordshire- one of the loveliest counties in England-  about 60 miles west of London. The city was founded in 8th century during Saxon times. The city has an area of 18 sqm and revolves around the prestigious University of Oxford that was established in 12th century. The university earned its nickname “City of Dreaming Spires” because of the medieval architectures of its 38 colleges.

Bicester Village Outlet

For bargain shoppers, when you are in Oxfordshire or close by, it is worth going to Bicester Village Outlet for some retail therapy. The outlet village is base to over 130 luxury fashion and homeware products, ranging from Gucci and Prada to Georg Jensen and Molton Brown.

Bicester Village is 15 miles north of Oxford and a 30-min ride on a bus. It is 63 miles north west of London and about a 1 ½ hour drive. If you are coming from London, an alternative would be to take train from Marylebone station to Bicester Village, which is about a 45-minute ride with two stops in between. The station is a five-minute walk to the outlet. The outlet is also close by to Blenheim Palace.
