Cambridge is another beautiful university city situated on the River Cam in Cambridgeshire, about 50 miles north of London. Founded in 1st century, evidence suggests there was settlement in the area during the Bronze Age. Under Viking rule, Cambridge became an important trading centre. The city has an area of 16 sqm. The University of Cambridge is one of the most prestigious university in the country and in the world. It was founded in 1209.
