Floralis Generica, Plaza de las Naciones Unidas

Floralis Generica, or Mechanical Flower, is a steel- and aluminium-made sculpture situated in Plaza de las Naciones. Constructed in 2002, it was given as a gift by famous Argentinian architect, Eduardo Catalano. The sculpture is a synthesis of all flowers, symbolises reborn hope each day at its opening in the morning. It closes its petals in the evening.
