Paseo del Prado

Paseo del Prado is a tree-lined boulevard with marble benches in the middle, designed by Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier in the late 1770s, stretching through from Malecon through Old Havana. Although several of the buildings remain unrepaired, it is a place to visit for a taste of the city’s local atmosphere and life, such as by spending time at one of the many cafes on the thoroughfare while watching the world go by.
