St Patrick’s Cathedral

Completed in 1878, this Roman Catholic church was built and decorated with neo-gothic style of architecture. It is the seat of the archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York. This beautiful cathedral is situated in east midtown Manhattan, between 50th and 51st Streets on Fifth Avenue, around the corner from Rockefeller Centre. Several memorial masses were held here for famous New Yorkers such as: Robert F. Kennedy; Andy Wharhol; Joe DiMaggio; Babe Ruth; William F. Buckley, Jr.; and many more
