Museum of Modern Art

MOMA is located on west midtown 53rd Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Founded in 1929, this museum has been vital in the development and collection of modernist art. Today, it is considered by many to have the best collection of modern western artwork in the world, holding more than 150,000 individual pieces of art, about 22,000 films and 4 million film stills. Works range from Francis Bacon, Monet, Andy Wharhol and many more.
