Wimpole Hall

Wimpole Hall is a country house located in the parish of Wimpole, just 12 miles southwest of Cambridge in Cambridgeshire and 68 miles south of London. The house was built between 1640 to 1650 on 3,000 of parkland and farmland, and was held by the Chicheley family for over 250 years. It was passed on and purchased by several families during the last centuries and was finally left to the National Trust in 1976 after its last occupant, Mrs Elsie Kipling-Bambridge passed away. The Wimpole Park Estate contains a few listed buildings and structures, of which Wimpole Hall is listed as Grade I.
