Cerro Castor Ski Resort

Cerro Castor is the southernmost ski resort in the world situated on southern slope of Mount Krund, about 26 km from Ushuaia. It is the longest of the main ski resorts in Argentina. It has a skiable area of about 650 hectares with 28 ski runs, ranging from green to black slopes, serviced by several chairlifts, T-bars and magic carpets.

After having skied in New Zealand, Europe and the US, skiing in South America, particularly in Argentina, was quite a remarkable experience. The slopes were amazing and not that crowded, where the people were friendly and helpful, given that we don’t speak the language. And the view of and from the mountains is spectacular.
