Lombard Street
The famous one-block section Lombard Street in San Francisco is the most crooked street in the world, where it has eights turns on a 40-degree slope. This was built in 1920s to allow traffic to descend the steep incline. The street is beautifully kept with flowers and shrubs alongside the zigzags, and offers a magnificent view of the bay on a nice day.
The intersection between Lombard Street and Leavenworth Street also provides a stunning view of the city, the bay and Alcatraz Island.
