Lincoln Centre for the Performing Arts
This is a complex of buildings in the Lincoln Square area on upper west side of Manhattan, mainly the Metropolitan Opera House and David Geffen Hall. It was built between 1955 to 1969, but the first venue, the Philharmonic Hall, was opened in 1962. The centre hosts several notable performing arts organisations, both renowned nationally and internationally, including the New York City Ballet, the New York Philharmonic, and the Metropolitan Opera.
