Angel Island

Angel Island is listed as a California Historical Landmark. It has been used as military forts, a US Public Health Service Quarantine Station and a US Bureau of Immigration inspection and detention facility. From 1910 to 1940, it is where officials detained, inspected and examined about one million Asian immigrants entering the US.
