Shopping at Angkor’s open markets (or Phsars) is interesting and fun. You can buy items such as Cambodian silk, sculptures and carvings, ceramics and silverware. The notable markets include: Chas, Kandal and Leu Thom Thmey. There are also the night markets worth visiting, which could be more alive and fun in the evening. And most importantly, do not forget to bargain!

I enjoyed my brief time visiting this lovely country. Although I was quite saddened by the depths of tear and destruction in most of the temples, I was still amazed at the country’s long and rich history. For a small city like Angkor, it is truly amazing how much of a jewel it is given the countless temples all around the city and the stories behind them. I hope you come visit soon.
