Bayon

Bayon is a richly decorated temple built in late 12th century and served as the official state temple of King Jayavarman VII. It proudly stands at the centre of Angkor Thom. Bayon was modified by later Hindhu and Buddhist kings based on each of their religious beliefs. It’s most distinctive features are the serene smiling faces on the towers in the temple complex.
