Porto Cathedral

Porto Cathedral is one of the city’s oldest and most important local Romanesque monument. It was built in 1110 under the patronage of Bishop Hugo and completed in the 13th century. Porto Cathedral is where the marriage of King John I to Princess Philippa of Lancaster took place in 1387.

Both the exterior and interior of the church was massively altered during the Baroque era, between the early 17th and mid-18th centuries.
