Finca Vigia

Finca Vigia, located in the town of San Francisco de Paula, was the Cuban home of the famous American writer Ernest Hemingway from 1930 to 1959. It was here that he wrote two of his popular books: “For Whom the Bell Tolls” and “The Old Man and The Sea.” Due to ill health, Hemingway returned to the US and after the revolution the building was taken over by the government.

Today it is turned into a museum where you can catch a glimpse of the home of one of the world’s most famous writer.
