Boston, Massachusetts

Boston is the capital and one of the oldest city in the state of Massachusetts, or what is also called the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It is also the largest city in New England- a region in northeast US, comprising the six states of: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. New England was founded by the arrival of the Pilgrims at Plymouth in 1620, as havens for various religious groups such as: Puritans, Separatists, and Quakers; all fleeing persecution in England during the mid 17th century.

Boston is now the home for about 8 million people and is the 6th largest city the US. Its rich history and economic prosperity has made it one of the most attractive destination for tourists. It is also one of the most favourite choice for education, boasting two of the finest universities in the world such as Harvard and MIT, along with many other fine universities in the city and surrounding area.
